Three national cricketers—Sompal Kami, Karan KC and Kushal Malla—have been picked for Abu Dhabi T10 League, a franchise cricket tournament featuring eight teams.
In the draft for the 10-over-per-side format, the trio was selected late Wednesday night for the first time in the tournament. Malla has been picked by Team Abu Dhabi. Former national team skipper Paras Khadka, who played for Abu Dhabi last year, is the emerging talent mentor of the team. Fast bowler Kami was picked by Maratha Arabians and KC by Pune Devils.
The fourth edition of the event will be played from January 28 to February 6 at the Shiekh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. It is the first time that Malla and KC will be playing in a foreign franchise league. Kami has already played Canada’s Global T20 Challenge.
