According to producers, the principal actors of the film Shrestha and Kiran KC have completed their respective voice-overs for the film.
The movie is slated to be a star-studded affair, bringing together actors and comedians, old and new, alongside Shrestha and KC, such as Shiva Hari Poudel, Paul Shah, Deepak Raj Giri, Priyanka Karki, Aanchal Sharma, and Deepashree Niraula, among others.
The film is written jointly by Deepak Raj Giri and Pradeep Bhattarai; the dialogues have been written by Haribansha Acharya and Bhattarai.
The film is produced under the banner of MaHa Sanchar, a production house founded by the comedy duo of Shrestha and Acharya.
After completing his day’s work, actor Shrestha, said, “My character is fun. Though I can’t reveal much about it, the character is significantly different than most of the roles I have played so far. The director has done a great job in this film, bringing together and using the talents of both old and new actors. The film tells a story from our own society.”
According to director Bhattarai, Satru Gate is an add-on to the recent string of films that weave social satire into its narrative. “If you watched Jatra and liked it, then I can say for certain that Satru Gate won’t disappoint you,” Bhattarai said.
Satru Gate will hit theatres nationwide on March 23.
