Art and Vino: Brushstrokes

Kerkaar calls all art enthusiasts to their ‘Brushstrokes and Wine’ event, where participants get to create art guided by experienced art instructors. The event is open to seasoned painters as well as beginners.

Suicide Prevention Art Display
The Rotaract Club of Bhadgaon is holding a suicide prevention art display programme on Saturday. Areet Narang Bastola, the Director of the Chaitanya Institute of Mental Health, will lead the session.

DynaWhite Vol VI Music Event

The sixth edition of the techno music event DynaWhite is happening at the Hyatt Place Kathmandu today. DJ Kohra will be joined on stage by DJs Dixu, Pri, Bpm, and Dipsoman for the show. Attendees can enjoy various food and beverage options at the venue too.

Opening of The Stranger Is A Friend Exhibition

Pooja Duwal’s solo exhibition ‘The Stranger Is A Friend’ is set to open on Saturday. The exhibits reflect Duwal’s perspective on daily life, which goes beyond her immediate family to include friends and complete strangers. She also pays tribute to the Newa gullies she grew up in. The exhibition will continue till September 17.

World Music Sessions Concert

Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory (KJC) is back with another World Music Sessions concert. The second edition of the concert will have Dapha music from the Newa community, some songs from the Tamang community and originals by Pushpa Palanchoke. The Gyan Residency ensemble, directed by Ser o Dúo’s Moa Guevara and Tomás Gubernatis, will play at the event alongside KJC faculty and students, and Nirakar Yakthumba, the bassist of 1974 AD.
