The 17th edition of the NADA Auto Expo opened on Tuesday at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli inaugurating the country’s largest automobile exhibition.
Organised by the NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal under the slogan “Go for More”, the event will run until August 24.

The expo has drawn wide participation, with 19 four-wheeler brands, 13 light commercial vehicle brands, four two-wheeler brands, and 35 companies showcasing auto parts, tyres, batteries, lubricants, garage equipment, and financial services. More than 125 exhibitors are spread across nearly 300,000 square feet of space, of which 162,500 square feet is dedicated exhibition area.
Organisers expect over 100,000 visitors to attend.
The main attractions this year include Unitree Robots’ advanced four-wheeled robot and Depal’s eVTOL UAV — a flying car that has already captured public imagination.

A vintage motor show is also drawing attention, featuring classics such as the Morris Minor, Beetle, Mini Cooper, Toyota RT40, Mazda Familia, and Toyota MR2.
A special “Made in Nepal” pavilion highlights locally manufactured vehicles and auto parts, while the international trade pavilion promotes foreign collaborations. The expo will also host seminars, workshops, and interaction sessions on electric vehicles (EVs) and smart mobility, reflecting the growing interest in sustainable transport.
