An improvised device exploded inside the residence of the chairman of Nepal Association of Foreign Employment Agencies in Basundhara on Friday night.

Two persons are injured in the explosion, Metropolitan Police Range Inspector Prakash Thapa said. The injured are receiving treatment at Chirayu Hospital.

The explosion completely damaged a land cruiser parked at the garage of the house. Fire erupted after the explosion was later taken under control with the help of fire engines. 

As of now, police said it is unclear who detonated the bomb and the reason behind it. Police said they are investigating the case.

Last month, Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist party of Nepal detonated a bomb outside the gate of Ncell headquarters in Nakkhu, killing one person and injuring two others.
