Continuous rainfall since Wednesday has triggered a landslide in the Artola area, blocking the Patan-Pancheshwar road in Baitadi.
According to local police, the landslide occurred early Thursday morning.
Police Inspector Janak Raj Dhungana, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Baitadi, said the landslide severed the road link to the lower Sworad area. Vehicles and passengers travelling to and from the region are stranded following the obstruction.
Authorities from the District Police Office are working to clear the obstructed road and restore traffic.
