The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on Tuesday appointed India’s Harshal Pathak as the head coach for the national women’s cricket team.
The national cricket governing body, in a statement, confirmed the appointment. Earlier, Pathak worked as the coach for Thailand’s cricket team.
The CAN called for applications for the position.
Nepal will play the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Global Qualifier from January 18 to February 1 on home ground. Nepal progressed to the global qualifier as runners-up of the Asia Qualifier, held in Thailand in May. Thailand claimed the top spot, with Asia allocated two qualification slots, compared to just one for the Americas.
