Khatri to train in Japan for 2 years

The 12th South Asian Games gold medallist judoka Phupu Lhamu Khatri left for Japan on Sunday for more than two-year training to prepare for 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Khatri will train in Japan for two years and three months under Olympic Solidarity Course.
According to Nepal Judo Association president Dipak Harsha Bajracharya, Khatri will give continuity to her studies along with training at Takaoka University in Toyama.
Bajracharya also said he was hopeful that Khatri would earn place in the Olympics through qualifiers. He further added: “We are planning to send Manita Shrestha Pradhan to Japan after Indonesia Asia.”
