Rastriya Swatantra Party’s Sulabh Kharel leads in Rupandehi-2
Kharel ahead of UML’s Bishnu Paudel in early vote count.Post Report
Rastriya Swatantra Party candidate Sulabh Kharel has taken an early lead in the vote count in Rupandehi constituency number 2.
Out of 4,066 votes counted so far from Tilottama Municipality–1, Kharel has secured 2,781 votes. CPN-UML candidate Bishnu Paudel, who also serves as the party’s vice-chairman, is in second place with 609 votes.
Nepali Congress candidate Chun Prasad Paudel has received 305 votes, Nepali Communist Party candidate Bishwadeep Pandey 35 votes, and Shram Sanskriti Party candidate Bhim Bahadur Gautam 92 votes.
Election officer Rajendra Neupane said counting has now begun in Butwal Sub-metropolitan City–1, followed by counting in Sainamaina Municipality–1.
Rupandehi-2 has 135,050 registered voters, of whom 86,715 have cast their ballots.
