Kavre
Araniko Highway was blocked on Thursday morning after rocks fell at Tirtire Dhara in ward 8 of Dhulikhel Municipality.
Inspector Sunil Dhaju, chief of the District Traffic Police Office, said rocks continue to fall, making travel hazardous. “The highway was completely blocked at first,” he said. “Traffic is now moving in one direction.”
Dhaju said full two-way traffic will resume once the rockfall stops. The traffic police have advised travellers to take alternative routes until the road is completely cleared.
