Wildfire ravages forest in Chandragiri

Chandragiri
A wildfire has swept through a forest in Chandragiri, situated on the border between Kathmandu and Makawanpur districts.
The fire broke out in Deuralidanda along the road leading from Matatirtha to Kulekhani. Several hotels are located nearby, along with the Chandragiri Hills Resort.
Local police were promptly alerted about the fire.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Surya Prasad Subedi, head of the Metropolitan Police Circle, Thankot, said the police are being deployed to the affected area via the Chandragiri cable car.
