Police have arrested a woman on the charge of murdering her five-year-old son.

According to police, Sarata Kumari Sah, a permanent resident of Sakhuwanankarkatti Rural Municipality-5 and currently living in Lahan Municipality-1, was arrested on a murder charge.

Police searched for the boy after a missing report and later found the body of the child concealed in a drawer of a bed within Sah’s room.

Siraha police said the woman has confessed to killing her son. According to police, the motive behind the murder is being investigated.
