Death toll in Dhankuta bus accident rises to three
The bus travelling to Bhojpur from Dharan crashed on Monday.

The death toll from Monday’s bus accident in Dhankuta has risen to three, police said.
A passenger bus en route to Bhojpur from Dharan crashed near the industrial area in ward 6 of Dhankuta Municipality.
According to police, 58-year-old Leela Bahadur Shrestha of ward 13 in Shadananda Municipality, Bhojpur, who had sustained critical injuries in the crash, died during treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan at 4am on Tuesday.
Earlier on Monday, 73-year-old Krishna Kumari Bhujel of ward 6 in Dhankuta Municipality succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment at Dhankuta Hospital.
The bus driver, 51-year-old Rudra Tamang of ward 13 in Dharan Sub-metropolitan City, Sunsari, also died on Monday evening, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Om Prakash Khanal, the spokesperson for the District Police Office, Dhankuta.
Khanal said two of the other injured are receiving treatment at Dhankuta Hospital, one at Nobel Hospital in Biratnagar, and the rest at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan.
