One dead, 13 injured in Dhankuta bus accident

One person died and 13 others were injured when a passenger bus heading to Bhojpur from Dharan met with an accident at Gothgaun in ward 6 of Dhankuta Municipality on Monday morning.
According to police, the bus went out of control and plunged around 50 metres off the road, roughly 3 km from Dhankuta Bazaar.
Krishna Kumari Rai Bhujel, 73, of ward 6 in Dhankuta Municipality, died while undergoing treatment at Dhankuta District Hospital at around 11:45am, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Om Prakash Khanal.
Among the injured, four are reported to be in serious condition. The injured are receiving treatment at the district hospital and BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan.
