Accident involving Nepal Army vehicle leaves 15 injured
The accident occurred as the vehicle’s brakes gave way on a steep road section at Daregauda in Ilam’s Mangsebung Rural Municipality on Sunday afternoon.

At least 15 people were injured after a Nepal Army truck met with an accident at Mangsebung Rural Municipality of Ilam district on Monday.
The army’s vehicle, heading towards Jorpokhari of Panchthar from Budhabare, along the Dhankuta-Panchthar border, was involved in an accident on a steep road section at Daregauda in the rural municipality after its brakes failed.
According to Nepal Army’s Ransher Battalion in Phidim, two of the injured–driver Rabi Tamang and corporal Dil Bahadur Shahi—are in serious condition and are receiving treatment in Biratnagar.
The remaining 13 have been medevaced to Kathmandu for treatment.
The Nepal Army has not made the incident public citing orders from higher-ups.
