Rastriya Swatantra Party not to join government immediately
Points out ruling parties’ violation of agreement as the reason not to join government.Post Report
The Rastriya Swatantra Party has decided not to join the government immediately.
A joint meeting of the central committee and parliamentary party held at its central office in Basundhara on Monday took the decision to this effect.
Rastriya Swatantra Party Joint General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti, following the meeting, informed that the party has decided not to join the government immediately as the ruling parties breached the agreement with the RSP.
Burlakoti said that although the ruling leaders are still urging them to join the government, the RSP will not join the government unless the agreement forged with the party is implemented.
“We did not discuss much about joining the government because we had earlier joined the government based on an agreement and we quit the government after we felt that the deal was broken,” said Burlakoti, “We may even join the government in the future if the agreement is implemented and if there is an opportunity to work for the people.”
