Mahottari
Ramadhar Kapar, an independent candidate in Mahottari-3, was beaten by an unidentified group in Jaleshwar Municipality-7 on Wednesday night, police said.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Heramba Sharma said Kapar sustained injuries to his chest, back, and other parts of his body and is currently receiving treatment in Janakpur.
After the attack, Kapar alerted the police and administration, who immediately took him to the hospital. Police are searching for the attackers.
