Post Report
An exhibition of 50 student technology projects opened in Kathmandu this week as part of the Presidential Innovista 2025 programme, featuring prototypes ranging from football-playing robots to artificial intelligence–powered software.
The three-day event, hosted by the Presidential Graduate School, runs until Sunday. Organisers said around 170 students contributed to the projects, which also include Internet of Things devices, cybersecurity tools, and smart irrigation systems. The school is affiliated with Westcliff University in the United States.
One section of the exhibition focuses on recent +2 graduates through a competition called TechnoVarsity, with winners to be announced in several categories. Other displays include drones designed to scatter flowers, a gas leak–detecting smart home system, and autonomous vehicles with 360-degree cameras.
Executive chairman Laxman KC said all of the work was developed by students. He added that the school’s startup incubation centre is also supporting selected projects to explore potential commercial applications.
According to the organisers, the event is open to the public and aims to encourage young people to consider careers in technology and entrepreneurship.
