NEPSE sheds 3.44 points as trading tops Rs9.24 billion
Index drops marginally by 0.13 percent amid mixed sectoral performance; over 21.9 million shares traded.

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell by 3.44 points on Sunday, settling at 2,620.39 — a decline of 0.13 percent compared to the previous session.
Despite the drop in the benchmark index, trading volume remained robust, with total turnover reaching Rs9.24 billion from 81,985 transactions. Investors exchanged over 21.9 million shares during the day's session.
Out of the traded stocks, 117 companies recorded gains while 128 saw their share prices fall.
Most sectoral indices declined, with the exception of banking, development banks, hotels & tourism, manufacturing & processing, and non-life insurance. Leading the losses were the trading, life insurance, and finance subgroups.
Three companies hit the upper circuit with a 10 percent gain in share value: Nepal Micro Insurance Company, Crest Micro Life Insurance, and Om Megashree Pharmaceuticals. On the flip side, Win Nepal Laghubitta Financial Institution hit the lower circuit, dropping 10 percent on the day.
