Unilever Nepal has provided Rs500,000 to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund to support the people badly affected by the floods and landslides in the last week of September.

Managing Director Amlan Mukherjee of Unilever Nepal and Joint Venture partner Ravi Bhakta Shrestha met with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to hand over a cheque of Rs500,000 to aid in the government's efforts to normalise the situation at the affected areas, said a press release issued by the company on Monday.

“Unilever Nepal is committed to making a positive impact in the communities it serves. Through efforts like these, Unilever Nepal has once again stood by the people of Nepal in their times of need, contributing to the well-being and development of its communities,” the company said.

Unilever Nepal quickly responded to the needs of the community and was able to provide essential daily hygiene products to the people in need through the Ministry of Health and Population, it said.
