Nepal Oil Corporation slashes fuel prices
The state-owned oil monopoly slashes petrol and diesel prices by Rs7 and Rs5 per litre, respectively.Post Report
The Nepal Oil Corporation slashed the prices of petrol, kerosene, and diesel on Wednesday. The state-owned oil monopoly reduced the prices with effect from Wednesday midnight, as per the automatic fuel price mechanism.
Under the new tariff, the price of petrol has been lowered by Rs7, whereas both diesel and kerosene have seen a reduction of Rs5 per litre.
Consumers will now have to pay Rs171 per litre for petrol and Rs154 per litre for diesel and kerosene in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dipayal.
They have to pay Rs170 for petrol and Rs153 for diesel and kerosene per litre in Surkhet and Dang, and it will cost Rs168.50 for petrol and Rs151.50 for diesel and kerosene in Charaali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalwari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi and Birgunj.
