Detainee who escaped from Kathmandu court arrested

Police on Thursday morning arrested a detainee who absconded handcuffed from Kathmandu District Court.
Kamal Khadka, 32, who was taken to the court by a team of Maharajgunj police circle for a detention hearing on Wednesday, ran away from the court’s premises.
Khadka was arrested from Jadibuti, said Kumod Dhungel, spokesperson of Kathmandu police range. The team deployed from Maharajganj police and Kathmandu police range took Khadka into custody.
His handcuff and prison uniform were recovered from his room in Duwakot of Changunarayan Municipality-1 in Bhaktapur, according to police.
