A 31-year-old man died in police custody in Kailali on Thursday. Krishna Setti of ward 16 of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City died in the custody of the District Police Office.
He was detained three days ago on the charge of murdering Lal Bahadur Thapa of ward 16 of Dhangadhi.
“The police informed us about the incident by phone at around 10 am,” said Ganesh, Krishna’s elder brother.
“They told us that he died of a heart attack while recording the statement. But we don’t believe them.” Ganesh demands a fair investigation into the incident.
