Nepal on Thursday reported one Covid-related death in the last 24 hours, taking the countrywide death toll to 12,031 since the pandemic began three years ago.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the country reported 33 new PCR-confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the nationwide infection tally to 1,003,064.

Similarly, 10 people tested positive to the virus in a total of 560 antigen tests, according to the ministry.

As of Thursday, 6,036,615 PCR and 1,577,947 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.

A total of 741 PCR tests were performed in the last 24 hours.

According to the ministry, 990,831 infected people have recovered from the disease so far.

There are currently 202 active cases.

A total of ten people are receiving treatment in Intensive Care Unit, four in High Dependency Unit and one in the general ward, the ministry said.
