The Home Ministry has directed security personnel not to engage in meetings with members of the diplomatic community and leaders of political parties.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the Home Ministry directed security officials to refrain from meeting diplomats and political leaders for works or responsibilities other than what they have been entrusted with.
“If and when such situations arise, the concerned personnel should take permission from the authorities, clarifying the purpose of the meeting,” the notice reads.
The ministry has also urged the concerned departmental heads to effectively implement the directive and monitor such activities.
Through the notice, the ministry has also warned of disciplinary actions, as per the law, against those found violating the directive.
