At least 16 people were injured in a bus-truck collision that occurred at Byas Municipality along the Prithvi Highway on Wednesday.
According to the police, the Kathmandu-bound bus (Na 4 Kha 5491) from Damauli and a truck (Na 6 Kha 3293) coming from opposite direction collided with each other at Belbhanjyang of Byas Municipality.
Five critically injured including bus driver, Subas Rai, are being treated at Pokhara-based Manipal Hospital, informed the District Police Office.
Other injured are undergoing treatment at Dumre-based Laxmi Hospital.
Meanwhile, the police have detained the truck driver for investigation. RSS
