Police on Wednesday found the body of Aakash Chaudhary, 7, of Kohalpur-9, Banke, who was kidnapped three days ago.

The body of Aakash, the only son of Ram Shanker and Sitanarani Chaudhary, was found hidden in a haystack, wrapped in a burlap sack near his home. Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajib Bahadur Basnet of Area Police Office in Kohalpur said the boy’s throat had a deep cut wound. It is suspected that Aakash was murdered on the same day he was kidnapped.

Meanwhile, police have rounded five suspects in connection to the crime.

Police said one of the suspects has admitted to killing the seven-year-old. The suspect’s name has been withheld as investigators are looking for other perpetrators.
