The local administration here has instructed people living along the bank of the Babai River to adopt caution after water rose to dangerous level on Friday morning.
Chief District Officer of the district Binod Bahadur Kunwar said they issued a notice to keep locals prepared for possible disaster as water level in the Babai rose above 5.70 metres. It is considered dangerous once water level reaches 6.50 metres.
Locals have started keeping vigil day and night after learning about the danger. Last year, 31 people had lost their lives due to flooding in the river while 93,000 people were displaced.
