The official soundtrack for the movie ‘Laaj Sharanam’, sung by Kathmandu Mayor Balen, was released Monday. Uploaded on his YouTube channel, ‘Nepal Haseko’ is his first song after taking office.

The song, featuring Balen’s own lyrics, composition, and rap, reflects Nepal’s current socio-political landscape. The song emphasises the struggles caused by foreign employment.

The music video features actors like Arjun Ghimire, Mahesh Tripathi, Sagar Lamsal, Harish Niroula, and Babin Rai.

‘Laaj Sharanam’ is made by the team behind the popular comedy series ‘Sakkigoni’.

Directed by Kumar Kattel, the film stars Sitaram Kattel, Bijay Baral, Arpan Thapa, Sagar Lamsal, Hari Niroula, among others. The movie is set to release on February 26, coinciding with the Maha Shivaratri festival.
