Hyatt Regency Kathmandu marks World Environment Day

KATHMANDU: Hyatt Regency Kathmandu, in partnership with Global Compact Nepal, celebrated World Environment Day 2025 by focusing on climate-conscious initiatives and cultural sustainability.
The event was graced by the Deputy Mayor of Kathmandu, Sunita Dangol. It included tree planting on hotel grounds and a special collaboration with Lal Dhanus International Services to create and hang sustainable prayer flags at the Boudhanath Stupa, symbolising peace, environmental commitment, and community well-being. “Sustainability is at the heart of Hyatt’s purpose. This World Environment Day, we were proud to align cultural heritage with climate action, reminding ourselves and our guests of the beauty of responsibility,” said Ashish Kumar, general manager of Hyatt Regency Kathmandu. “The initiative reflects Hyatt’s enduring dedication to caring for the planet, people, and responsible business practices.”
