Kathmandu

eSewa, Nepal’s leading digital payment service provider, has expanded its offerings by launching a hotel booking feature on its platform.

With this new service, users can now book more than 2,000 hotels nationwide from their phones. “eSewa has become a household name for paying bills and transferring money,” the company said in a statement. “Now, we’re going beyond payments. Whether planning a short getaway, organising a seminar, enjoying a night out, or booking a honeymoon, eSewa makes hotel reservations easy and accessible.”

The platform offers a wide range of options—from budget accommodations to luxury star-rated hotels—available throughout Nepal. Users can search, compare, and book rooms in just a few taps, making travel planning simpler than ever. “Our mission has always been to make everyday life easier for our users through digital convenience,” said Ravi Shakya, Chief Strategy Officer at eSewa. “With hotel booking now integrated into the app, we’re bringing that same ease to travel, ensuring that finding a place to stay anywhere in Nepal is as smooth and hassle-free as paying a bill or sending money.”

With this new feature, eSewa continues strengthening its position as a one-stop digital service platform for everyday needs.
