NEPSE inches up by 1.60 points, turnover crosses Rs9 billion
Benchmark index posts 0.05 percent gain on Sunday, with over 83,000 transactions recorded.

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index posted a marginal gain of 1.60 points on Sunday, the first trading day of the week, closing at 2,694.66. The increase represents a 0.05 percent uptick from the previous session.
Despite the modest rise in the benchmark index, market turnover remained strong. According to NEPSE, a total of 22,031,861 shares were traded through 83,016 transactions, generating a total turnover of Rs9.22 billion.
Among the 248 listed companies, share prices of 115 companies increased, while 133 declined.
Out of the 13 subgroups, indices for hotels and tourism, finance, development banks, investment, life insurance, mutual funds, and others recorded gains. The remaining subgroups ended in red.
