Reasoning that the willful death would be better that the life in coma, advocates duo Uttam Prasad Rijal and Tankahari Dahal jointly filed the writ petition at the SC on Thursday. As the constitution has guaranteed citizens the rights to live dignified life, the citizens should be guaranteed the right to have willful death.
It is the human right to finish life rather than living in unconscious state for long and languishing life in pain, they argued.
In the writ, the advocates have made defendants to the Constituent Assembly and the Legislature-Parliament.
