Chief Justice Ram Kumar Prasad Shah retired on Tuesday.

Senior most Justice Kalyan Shrestha will take charge as the chief justice on Wednesday after being sworn in by President Ram Baran Yadav. The Parliamentary Hearing Committee had endorsed his name after the Constitutional Council recommended him for the post on June 29.
