According to SP Arun Kumar BC, police have arrested three persons involved in the incident. The fourth one has been absconding. Dipak Karki, Roshan Ranjit and Dipesh Tamanh of Ugratara-1 have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the rape, said BC. They have been detained at the Banepa area police office for further investigation.
The perpetrators gave Rs 50 to the victim in order to entice her not to disclose anything about the incident to anyone. The girl's father is abroad for foreign employment and her mother is a daily wage earner.
