At least 11 people were injured after a cooking gas cylinder exploded at a restaurant in Kamalpokhari on Thursday morning.
The injured were immediately transported to the Nepal Cleft and Burn Centre in Kirtipur for treatment. Police confirmed that two individuals sustained severe burn injuries.

Deputy Inspector General of Police Dinesh Kumar Acharya, spokesperson for Nepal Police, attributed the explosion to a gas leak. “The blast occurred in the morning. While detailed information is still being gathered, police are actively investigating the incident. All injured have been rescued,” he said.
