Nepal reports 257 new Covid-19 cases

Nepal on Tuesday reported 143 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 997,122.
Similarly, 114 people tested positive in a total of 2,463 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Tuesday, 5,887,718 PCR and 1,356,950 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 1,458 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
The country did not report any Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 12,000 since the pandemic began.
According to the ministry, 981,976 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 232 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 3,146.
In the past 24 hours, 19 new infections were reported in Province 1, five in Madhesh Province, 97 in Bagmati, 16 in Gandaki, five in Lumbini and one in Sudurpaschim.
Nepal on Monday reported 145 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases. Similarly, 164 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and one death were recorded on Sunday and 65 PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were reported on Saturday.
