Nepal logs 22 new Covid-19 cases
According to the Health Ministry, 965,469 infected people have recovered from the disease so far and the number of active cases stands at 1,022.Post Report
Nepal on Friday reported 16 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 978,442.
Similarly, six people tested positive in a total of 1,319 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Friday, 5,548,906 PCR and 1,128,232 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 2,516 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
The country did not report any Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,951 since the pandemic began.
According to the ministry, 965,469 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 75 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 1,022.
Kathmandu Valley recorded five new infections in the last 24 hours. All five were found in the Kathmandu district.
In the past 24 hours, one new infection was recorded in Province 1, four in Madhesh, six in Bagmati and one each in Gandaki and Lumbini and three in Sudurpaschim.
On Friday, 13 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another two were on ventilator support in Bagmati Province.
Nepal on Thursday reported 24 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases. Similarly, 25 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded on Wednesday and 30 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were reported on Tuesday.
