Nepal logs 91 new Covid-19 cases
According to the Health Ministry, 958,555 infected people have recovered from the disease so far and the number of active cases stands at 6,947.Post Report
Nepal on Saturday reported 67 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 977,447.
Similarly, 24 people tested positive in a total of 3,558 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Saturday, 5,442,940 PCR and 1,075,118 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 2,662 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
The country did not record any Covid-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,945 since the pandemic began.
According to the ministry, 958,555 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 362 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 6,947.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 21 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of these, 15 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, two in Lalitpur and four in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, eight new infections were recorded in Province 1, six in Madhesh Pradesh, 27 in Bagmati, 14 in Gandaki, eight in Lumbini and two each in Karnali and Sudurpaschim.
According to the data released by the ministry, two districts are home to more than 500 active cases each, other eight districts host more than 200 active cases each.
On Saturday, 53 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another 11—two in Province 1, eight in Bagmati and one in Gandaki—were on ventilator support.
Nepal on Friday reported 111 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and one death. Similarly, 105 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and three deaths were reported on Thursday and 123 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and three deaths were reported on Wednesday.
