Nepal logs 111 new Covid-19 cases
According to the Health Ministry, the countrywide death toll has now reached 11,945 and the number of active cases stands at 7,242.Post Report
Nepal on Friday reported 111 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 977,380.
Similarly, 15 people tested positive in a total of 1,842 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Friday, 5,440,278 PCR and 1,071,560 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 7,091 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
One person died from Covid-19-related infections in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,945 since the pandemic began.
According to the ministry, 958,193 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 385 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 7,242.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 35 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of these, 25 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, six in Lalitpur and four in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 23 new infections were recorded in Province 1, 10 in Madhesh Pradesh, 43 in Bagmati, 10 in Gandaki, 11 in Lumbini and six each in Karnali and Sudurpaschim.
According to the data released by the ministry, two districts are home to more than 500 active cases each, other eight districts host more than 200 active cases each.
On Friday, 54 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another 10—two in Province 1 and eight in Bagmati—were on ventilator support.
Nepal on Thursday reported 105 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and three deaths. Similarly, 123 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and three deaths were reported on Wednesday and 92 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and two deaths were recorded on Tuesday.
