Nepal reports 363 new Covid-19 cases, one death
According to the Health Ministry, the countrywide death toll has now reached 11,483 and the number of active cases stands at 7,636.Post Report
Nepal on Wednesday reported 363 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 818,035.
Similarly, 49 people tested positive in a total of 1,887 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Wednesday, 4,530,686 PCR and 704,253 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 10,106 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
In its regular situation report, the ministry did not mention the death toll over the past 24 hours. It, however, reported one Covid-19-related fatality.
The countrywide death toll has now reached 11,483. The number of active cases stands at 7,636.
According to the ministry, 798,916 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 202 of them in the last 24 hours.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 149 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of these, 102 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, 32 in Lalitpur and 15 in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 65 new infections were recorded in Province 1, 18 in Province 2, 189 in Bagmati, 40 in Gandaki, 39 in Lumbini, one in Karnali and 11 in Sudurpaschim.
On Wednesday, 224 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another 60—16 in Province 1, 31 in Bagmati, 12 in Gandaki and one in Lumbini—were on ventilator support.
Nepal on Tuesday reported 339 new coronavirus cases and four deaths. Similarly, 367 new coronavirus cases and one death was reported on Monday and 291 new coronavirus cases and six deaths were recorded on Sunday.
