A 26-year-old mechanic was killed in Myagdi district on Thursday after being crushed by a vehicle he was repairing.
According to District Police, Rohit Sherpunja of ward 3 in Muna died on the spot when a Mahindra Bolero, parked along the roadside at Uttise in Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality-7, suddenly rolled backwards during maintenance.
The incident occurred around 2 pm while Sherpunja was working on the rear tyre of the vehicle, which had broken down while travelling from Takam to Muna, in Myagdi district.
Police are investigating for further details.
