Gorkha woman airlifted after labour complications
Although attempts were made to airlift her on Thursday, adverse weather caused a delay.

Sun Maya Gurung, a 40-year-old woman of ward 3 of Chumnubri Rural Municipality in Gorkha, was rescued by a helicopter on Friday following labour complications.
Laxmi Gurung, vice chair of the rural municipality, said Sun Maya has been sent to the Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital in Kathmandu via a Nepal Army helicopter.
Although attempts were made to airlift her on Thursday, adverse weather caused a delay.
Vice-chair Gurung said she was sent to Kathmandu under the President Women Upliftment Programme.
