Police have arrested a 45-year-old man from ward 2 of Bhimsem Thapa Rural Municipality on the charge of raping a minor.
The suspect allegedly raped a 16-year-old girl on Wednesday.
Based on a complaint lodged by the victim’s relatives, police immediately detained the accused, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Ramesh Kumar Shrestha.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
