The Aanbukhaireni-Muglin stretch of the Prithvi Highway has been blocked following a landslide at Aanbukhaireni Rural Municipality-4 on Saturday evening.

Police said traffic came to a grinding halt following the mudslide at around 6:30pm.

Attempts are being made to clear the debris in coordination with the rural municipality and road division office, said Rajiv Bista, chief of Tanahun District Traffic Police Office.

Passengers have been stranded following the obstruction along one of the busiest highways in the country.
