Chitwan Rhinos set a 177-run target against Janakpur Bolts in their Nepal Premier League match at Kirtipur on Tuesday after strong half-centuries from Dawid Malan and Arjun Saud.

Chitwan finished on 176 for four in their 20 overs. Malan top-scored with 80 runs off 54 balls, hitting four fours and five sixes, while Saud struck a steady 52 off 39.

The pair added 112 for the first wicket before Saud fell to Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton in the 14th over. Saif Zaib and Ravi Bopara fell cheaply, but captain Kushal Malla lifted the total with an unbeaten 30 off 14 balls.

Janakpur’s attack struggled for control, with Maaz Sadaqat, Anil Sah, Rupesh Singh and Loftie-Eaton sharing a wicket each. Sadaqat was the most economical, conceding 23 runs in four overs.
