The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on Friday announced a 15-member squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia and East-Asia Pacific Qualifier to be held in Oman from October 8.
From the 16 players who toured the UAE for the three-match Twenty20 series against the West Indies, Shahab Alam has been left out, CAN spokesperson Chhumbi Lama said.
The squad includes leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane along with captain Rohit Paudel, vice-captain Dipendra Singh Airee, Sundeep Jora, Kushal Bhurtel, Lokesh Bam, Kushal Malla, Aasif Sheikh, Mohammad Adil Alam, Karan KC, Nandan Yadav, Aarif Sheikh, Lalit Rajbanshi, Gulsan Jha, and Sompal Kami.
According to CAN, the national team has already reached Oman for the regional qualifier.
