The hostel, constructed a year ago, was vandalised before it came into operation. The municipality had then taken the initiative to repair the structure.
The hostel was constructed with a Rs12 million grant from the central government through the Ganeshman Singh Foundation. The foundation had then transferred the budget to the Kathmandu Metropolitan City to build the hostel.
The metropolis then provided the money to Kageshwori Manohara officials for the purpose. The municipality had constructed the hostel through a consumer committee. According to CAN, the hostel will come into use as soon as possible. (PR)
