Nepal U-19 women’s cricket team captain Pooja Mahato has been named in the Best XII of the ICC U-19 Women's T20 World Cup. She was selected among the top 12 players of the tournament, which concluded on Monday.

According to the International Cricket Council (ICC), Mahato is the only player from an associate nation to make the list. She played five matches, scoring 70 runs and taking nine wickets in the tournament.

The Best XII includes four players from India, three from South Africa, two from England, and one each from Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Australia.

India clinched the U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup title, while Nepal, playing in the tournament for the first time, faced defeats in all three group-stage matches. However, they secured a victory over hosts Malaysia in the play-offs.
