Biratnagar Kings in their match against Pokhara Avengers set a target of 140 runs in the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL) at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground, Kirtipur, on Thursday.
Winning the toss Biratnagar chose to bat first, making a score of 139 runs at the expense of 7 wickets in 20 overs in the fifth match they played in the NPL. Kings’ Scott Edwards made the most runs 45 [off 35 balls]. Opener Lokesh Bam made 26 [off 16 balls] and was dismissed by Raymon Reifer. Basir Ahmed made 21 [off 20 balls] and remained not out. Nicholas Kirton made 19 [off 16 balls]. Fall of wickets came for Kings with Martin Guptill for 5 runs, Naren Bhatta (4), Chris Sole (7), Dipak Bohora (4) and Pratish GC (4*).
For Avengers Sagar Dhakal and Raymond Reifer took two wickets each. Kushal Bhurtel and Dinesh Kharel took one wicket each.
